Seventh Annual Shakespeare in the Park

The Comedy of Errors

3x5 Comedy of Errors JPG

Our 2014 production, the seventh annual Actors Circle Theatre Shakespeare in the Park, was The Comedy of Errors.  First performed December 28, 1594, The Comedy of Errors is the earliest and shortest of Shakespeare's works. Based on Pautus' The Menaechmi, it is only one of two of Shakespeare's plays that incorporate the use of the classical unities (the other is last year's The Two Gentlemen of Verona!).  It tells the story of a family ripped apart by circumstance, and the hilarious circumstances that lead to the reunification of two sets of twin brothers in Ephesus.
